First of all, congratulations and the blog and thanks a lot for helping so many teachers with your activities. But I have a question about this. The woman who works at the school says: "There is one other class, but you will not like it. It's for professionnel, which you will never be, I'm sure. All men. All GIs. And very expensive. I cannot imagine that you would ever want to pay the tuition." What does she mean with GIs? I tried to google it and also in the list of acronyms of www.thefreedictionary.com but I haven't found anything. Any suggestions? TIA
Carolina

Thanks, Carolina for your words.

I got this source from the net about GIs, Allied War Veterans.

GIs based in Paris learn to cook at French school for chefs and Maitres d'Hotel. They were references in cooking gourmet food. That's what I know, if someone else has abbetter source, please share it with us.

Various shots of Allied soldiers (mainly American GIs) learning to cook at a French school for chefs and Maitres d'Hotel. We see the men preparing fish and poultry, cutting sauté potatoes, making sauces and putting cream on cakes.
