International Conference for Teachers of English and Administrators, Montevideo, Uruguay

I had a great time in Montevideo, Uruguay last week. The city is beautiful and the seminar was rewarding. I want to thank the messages, support and the audience, who cooperated to the successful accomplishment of the presentation's goals. I hope I will be back to Uruguay again soon. Let me know if you were there and how you liked it. Thanks!

Hi Claudio! I am Sonia Herrero, from Paraguay, and I was in Montevideo at one of your presentations. I had a lot of fun there, and I learned a lot. I am so ready to try some of your ideas, and prepare some new ones for my students!

Next time, I hope you can come to Paraguay! Labci 2011 is waiting for you! :)

Hi, Sonia
Hope everything is fine with you. Oh, I'd love to go to Paraguay and present there. If only I were invited to do it! I'm glad you enjoyed the seminar. See you around

Hi Claudio!
I am really glad to have attended to your presentations in Montevideo, specially because I wanted to know the person whom I took material from, haha.

Also I'd like to thank you for your kindness, it's a really great gesture of you to share your knowledge and ideas, which I found to be engaging and profitable.I'm already reflecting on what to do and practicing to get my "grammar eyes".

Hope to see you again soon and exchange some material!
Regards,

Verónica Pascual

Hi Claudio! I'm Claudio from Uruguay, we met a few days ago. I just wanted to congratulate you once again for your blogs, they are very useful and save time. I'l be sending you some of the task that I've done during the last years with movie trailers; but as I told you before, the focus is on understanding. Thank you very much!!!

Hi Claudio,

I think we did talk to each other during the event, right?

Thanks for your kind words. I'd love to see what you have developed. Who knows they fit for the other blog, the one for warm-ups and follow-ups? If so, we may post they - with your credits, of course - but let's see if they are suitable for the blog's main purpose. Using segments for comprehension is also a great tool for listening and for speaking lessons. I'd love to see them. Thanks for the comment.
See you,

Hi Claudio! I'm Paula from Florida, a city to the North of Montevideo. I really enjoyed both of your talks! Let me tell you that I work a lot with audiovisuals but from a different point of view. I'm actually an advanced graduate student at the School of Communications and I try to use audiovisuals to foster critical thinking by analyzing the audiovisual language itself - we could exchange some ideas. Right now I'm planning my syllabi and your movies are definetely included!

Thanks a lot for sharing!

Paula
